What type of driver's license do you need to present to rent a car?
The renter and all drivers must hold a valid, original driver’s license, which must be presented at the time of vehicle pickup. All drivers holding a non-U.S. driver’s license must present a valid passport or a valid government-issued identification card as a secondary form of identification at the time of vehicle pickup.
What is the minimum age for renting a car?
Minimum age and car rental requirements 🚗✨
To ensure your safety and the best possible experience, certain rules may apply during the booking process.
General minimum age: 21 years old
Driver’s license: valid for at least 1 year
Larger or high-performance cars: minimum age of 25 years old
This way, you can enjoy your trip with peace of mind, driving the ideal car for your needs.
How can I pay for the car rental?
When renting a car with Space Rent a Car, you can choose the payment method that works best for you:
PIX (Brazil transfer)
ZELLE (US transfer)
Credit card (up to 12 installments)
US credit card
WE DO NOT REQUIRE A SECURITY HOLD ON YOUR CREDIT CARD (HOWEVER, YOU MUST PRESENT A PHOTO OF BOTH THE FRONT AND BACK OF THE CARD).
Can I rent a car without a credit card?
Yes. We do not require a security deposit hold on a credit card; we ONLY need a card on file in our system to cover potential traffic fines or fuel charges, should they arise.
Can I rent the car without insurance, since my credit card already offers this coverage?
No, because all promotional plans offered by Space Rent a Car already include CDW/LDW and LIS/ALI/EP coverage.
How do I pay the tolls?
Don’t worry about tolls; your vehicle rental agreement already includes toll coverage for Florida. Simply drive through the toll lanes, and the rental agency will cover the charges via the SunPass account.
